Flood Watch Expanded to PA and NY Counties

A Flood Watch has been expanded to include Bradford and Susquehanna counties in Pennsylvania and Delaware County in New York. The Flood Watch is in effect from noon today until 5 AM Friday. Updated graphics are available, which reflect this expansion and changes in precipitation expectations.

The forecast now shows lower expected precipitation amounts in parts of northeastern Pennsylvania, while the area of highest rainfall has shifted slightly east toward the Catskills. Meanwhile, expected precipitation amounts have increased slightly for parts of the Southern Tier west of Binghamton. Several rounds of rain showers, with some isolated storms, are expected across the area today. For most areas, rain should taper off by this evening, except in the Catskills and eastern northeastern Pennsylvania, where showers may continue into the overnight hours.
