Cayuga County Announces Early Intervention Training Sessions

Cayuga County Health has announced upcoming training sessions for parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers enrolled in the New York State Early Intervention Program. The training, titled the "Early Intervention Partners Training Program," is designed to help families connect with others facing similar challenges, learn about important resources, and develop advocacy skills for their children.

The sessions will cover topics such as procedural safeguards, Early Intervention laws and regulations, the Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), and navigating the transition from the Early Intervention Program to preschool special education. Participants will also learn about the role of Early Intervention Coordinating Councils (EICC).

The first session is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and will be held online via Zoom. The second session will take place over two days, starting on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a full day on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Holiday Inn & Suites near Syracuse Airport, located at 400 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. Participants attending both in-person days have the option to attend an extra training day on Friday, September 26.
