**Genesee Elementary School Spelling Bee Crowns Champion**

Genesee Elementary School in Auburn, New York, hosted an exciting Spelling Bee on Monday, December 4, 2023. The event brought together a group of talented students who displayed not only their spelling skills but also great sportsmanship, supporting each other with fist bumps, smiles, and cheers throughout the competition.

After more than 20 intense rounds, Belmiro Vieira emerged as the champion. Belmiro now has the opportunity to qualify for the regional finals, which will take place in Syracuse next March.

Other standout spellers included finalists Nathan Meade, Aiden Bartlett, Jadon Gray, and Justin Parsons, who will also advance to the district finals next spring.

Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and dedication! The event was a proud moment for the Auburn Enlarged City School District and a celebration of its students’ achievements.
