Butler Man Arrested After Conquest Fight Struggle
On September 2, 2025, at approximately 10:02 PM, officers from the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported fight on Spring Lake Road in the Town of Conquest. Upon arrival, officers determined that one of the involved individuals, 30-year-old Shawn M. Farrell of Butler, NY, had an active arrest warrant from the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office.
During the attempt to take Farrell into custody, a brief struggle occurred. Farrell was arrested at about 10:15 PM on a charge of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor under NYS PL 205.30. After his arrest, Farrell was transported to the Processing and Booking Station, where he was processed and issued an appearance ticket. His court appearance is set for September 16 at 6:00 PM in the Town of Conquest Court. Following processing, Farrell was turned over to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office in connection with his outstanding arrest warrant.
