NSF Invests $20M in AI Materials Institute
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) announced on July 29 that it will invest $20 million over five years to create the Artificial Intelligence Materials Institute (AIMI) at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The institute, established in partnership with Intel, will be part of the National Artificial Intelligence Research Institutes. The initiative is designed to support research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and materials science.
