**Geneva Public Library Hosts Talk on Public Relations in the Suffrage Movement**
On Saturday, March 22, the Geneva Public Library in Geneva, NY, will host "Crafting the Narrative," a presentation focused on the impactful role public relations played in the suffrage movement. The event will run from 12 to 2 p.m. in the library's Reading Room.
Arien Rozelle, a professor at Syracuse University, will lead the discussion, exploring how suffragists like Susan B. Anthony used strategic communication tools to influence public opinion and drive social change. Attendees will delve into the innovative techniques used by these activists, including media relations, message campaigns, and media monitoring—all highly effective even before the formal establishment of public relations as a profession.
This event offers a unique opportunity for today's communicators, advocates, and history enthusiasts to learn about the strategies that shaped one of the most significant social movements in history. Rozelle's expertise promises to shed light on the suffragists' mastery of media tools to amplify their message and turn their vision into reality.
